3rd Amendment: No Swiping Allowed

What They Say: No Soldier shall, in time of peace be quartered in any house, without the consent of the Owner, nor in time of war, but in a manner to be prescribed by law

What We Say: Soldiers can't stay in someone's home with the owner's consent.

This picture shows what soldiers are not supposed to do without the house owner's consent. I now it's something that i could look up, but I wondered what happened back in the making of the Constitution days, to make the Founders come up with this amendment. I picture soldiers barging into people's homes during random times and demanding food and a place to stay.
